Tasks (FVC)
#FVC
Tasks are clearly defined, actionable items that form the smallest unit in the Pipeline.
Tasks should:
- have a clear yes or no answer for completion
- be related to Projects or Disciplines
- be meaningful and important
- be small; aim for tasks that take no more than two hours
Implementation:
Use the Obsidian Tasks plugin to create and manage tasks. The power of task queries enables task creation from anywhere in the vault.
Task queries could be complicated. See documentation for syntax.
By default, Obsidian Tasks uses #task
for tasks. We use #t
to reduce friction.
Tasks can be tagged for status control:
#current
tasks are those that are being worked on. Try to keep the number below 3.#planned
tasks are those that will be completed today or tomorrow. Aim for no more than 6.#inbox
for added tasks#keystone
for very important tasks
Other stuff can be added to a task description:
- ๐งป indicates there are subtasks
Tasks could be formatted this way:
- [x] #t something to do ๐
